Ronita Johnson: Coming to Forgiveness – Prelude for Illuminating a Light of Well-Being

1. What is your passion or purpose you are being called to bring into action right now?

At this turn on the road of my journey, there is no doubt my purpose and passion.

I am raising the vibration around Forgiveness. I find it strange and exciting that each woman I speak with has an understanding that forgiveness is a virtue. But there doesn’t seem to be a universal language around the meaning of forgiveness that we can readily pull up for everyday practical application. My passion is to bring women and girls into dialogue around the topic/meaning of forgiveness; to be forgiving and to be in the practice of forgiveness.

2. What were the motivating factors or defining moments that inspired you to get involved and share your passion?

After 49 years of promising that I would write my story, I completed “Coming To Forgiveness” about my journey of race, rage, and religion. In the writing I discovered the effects of non-forgiveness and how it had ruled my life. For so many years, I had felt hopeless, unworthy, fearful, angry, resentful, jealous, regretful; as if my life didn’t matter. I realized in telling my truth how important; even critical forgiveness is to the journey of my soul and the openness of my heart. It seems important to share this truth, for we suffer and forgiveness heals in so many ways. My experience is that healing restores the spirit and that bright light that we each have to shine in the world. It is inspirational to experience the glow in a woman’s eyes as she realizes no matter the hurt, lasting forgiveness is possible.

3. What is your mantra or favorite quote you refer to when you seek inspiration or hope and why?

“In telling our truth we find forgiveness, which leads to the freedom of our soul.” Me

“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.” Serenity Prayer

“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.” Gandhi

3. Tell us about a moment recently when you were standing in your full power and purpose?

Serum for the Soul, Women’s Circle of Forgiveness. In working with the women one-on-one in their forgiveness process, every word, feeling, emotion, thought, action, and direction felt divinely inspired by the power and inspiration of God. As a forgiveness servant, practitioner and coach, I witnessed the women being transformed right before my eyes, as they walked through the fire into the light of their open hearts.

5. Why is the work you are doing so important for everyday women?

Forgiveness is our responsibility in creating peace, joy, love, compassion and inspiring our deepest passions. There is not much we can become as a species without forgiveness. By cultivating a common language and a common practice, the opportunity to forgive Self and each other, we populate the energies of our planet with goodness, which in turns grows and flowers into well being on multiple levels. Forgiveness is to our planet, like breath to our bodies…without it we die!

6. Why is it so important for women to participate in an event like the Passion into Action Conference?

Anytime we come together with open hearts, ready to listen and learn, and ready to be influenced, we deepen our individual and collective wisdom, which populates the positive energies of our planet. We grow stronger in our beliefs as women, we cultivate the field of possibilities, and we broaden in our acceptance of diversity. We populate the fields in ways that nourish, nurture and develop our feminine potential. We give voice with strength and tenacity.

7. What are you hoping will be the biggest take-aways for women both at the Passion into Action Conference and your workshop?

From the Conference – That the passion that we entered with into this space was fanned and flamed, so that we may continue to go out into our communities with hope, encouragement and determination in our hearts, minds, spirits and souls.

From my workshop – That every women leaves encouraged to ‘DO’ her forgiveness work; and that she is passionate about having an everyday practice of forgiveness.

8. What is your message to women around the world?

Do your personal work, so that you may be a beacon of light for others.

Become excited with living by finding your passion; ignite your flame and light up the world.
